As a Lebanese, I go often to my home country, especially because my mother lives in Lebanon and I miss her so much so often.
I grew up in this beautiful country, and while growing up, the happening areas changed along the years.
I love my home deeply however traveling all the way to Kafarhabab is hectic nowadays and especially starting the month May until October` as well as during the Christmas Period.
Therefor traveling with my partner, Zaki, we always love to stay in the center of Beirut.
Le Gray is one of Beirut’s trendiest hotels, and a hotspot for delectable cuisine and exciting nightlife. The site of the 5-star hotel is located at the heart of the city, it is one of the few 5Stars’ hotels in Beirut, with stunning views of the sea, the city and Beirut’s port.
It is situated near many historic sites and more importantly Beirut Souk, many exclusive fine dining restaurants and the best roof top bars or clubs. Le Gray is also always surrounded by top of the notch security (something real needed to be mentioned.)
Beirut Souks is a major commercial area in Beirut Central District, with over 200 shops mostly High- End Brands and 25 restaurants and cafes.
The suites where very comfortable and classy. ALL the suites included large walk-in closest a nice seating space if you welcome any visitors, fresh bean coffee machine and a stocked mini bar. Our room was designed with comfort in mind. The decoration inside was contemporary and very beautiful. The room was immersed with different calming colours. There were different shades of blue, green and lilac. The suite was clutter free and very homely.
One of our rooms offered us a chance to a 360-degree view of the Beirut. Everything was beautiful and captivating, it’s like we were on top of the world, literally.
Forget forget breakfast in bed though. The breakfast on the roof at Indigo Deli by the hotel serves mouth-watering delicious breakfast ( you can see it in my second vlog). I have had delicious breakfast before but this one was just spectacular. It even offers a great variety of delicious dishes from Lebanese salads, traditional “Labneh” balls and many more. Indigo at night is also incredibly romantic with a special menu that would leave amazed. I will never forget how delicious was the Miso-Black Cod.
Then comes the Gordon’s café. This was delicious! I could not keep count how many Moroccan Chicken salads Zaki would have every time we stayed at Le Gray. The meals are tasty, generous portions, tasted heavenly.
The infinity pool by the rooftop offers a view of the Mediterranean and Lebanon Mountain. The roof top infinity pool, which is open all year round, and it gave us a stunning view of the sparkling city. I would sit hours and hours by the pool enjoying margaritas from cherry bar and day dreaming while swimming.
As for the PureGray Health Club and Spa, I, personally never tried it, yet Zaki has done several treatments which we both thought are slightly overpriced. Located in the basement, the spa offers all sorts of treatments from massages to facials and scrubs. The Spa also includes a gym which, was a bit small and the machines are tightly placed, for my liking. But I still made the best out of it, as I enjoyed shedding off some calories and felt refreshed at the end.
Our Stays at Le Gray have been so far, amazing, besides having few issues here and there, (like once they charged a full mini bar) !!! Yet, we like many of the staff especial the loving sweet mangers of the housekeeping department, we loved George the laundry manager, it is important to mention the incredibly perfectionist tailor and all the laundry staff as every time we sent items they would come back in a perfect condition!
I am forever grateful to the receptionist Fadi who communicated our trouble and concerns few times, and finally Chrystelle and the rest of the staff who helped us get the doctor when Zaki was ill.
If you have never been to Le Gray, please make a date. You will not regret it!
